This happens to be one of the busiest January transfer windows yet without there actually having been much shown the general public. Walcott is definitely on his way to Everton but there has been confusion on which players are coming in and who they are supposed to be replacing.
We’ll start with the biggy which is Sanchez who remains an Arseanl player. Should he go though and the swap deal goes through with Manchester United, our sources claim that Mkhitaryan will actually be the replacement for Ozil, a player whom, at this moment in time, looks to be staying for the remainder of the season.
That makes Mkhitaryan a potential replacement for Ozil. The youngster and highly rated Bordeaux winger Malcom is the preferred option to replace Walcott, who after plenty of years at Arsenal is off to Goodison.
This takes us back to the start of the article, who is supposed to be replacing Sanchez should he go? Well one thing is for sure and that is that Arsenal want to get someone in immediately which will be tough. The favourite choice is Aubameyang but Dortmund are playing hardball and don’t really want him to leave this January as they’ll then have to seek a replacement themselves. Giroud maybe in a swap plus cash? Possible, but these “swap deals” rarely happen.
There aren’t many more options for Wenger available sadly so thihs will be one tense next couple of weeks. If you have money to bet on these things happening then the only one we at Bethelp would back is Sanchez leaving this January.
