Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed in his recent press conference that a player exchange deal between his side and Manchester United is nearing a positive conclusion.
The exchange involves Mkhitaryan and Sanchez although it has been suggested that Arsenal might receive cash on top. Whilst this could be debated in the pubs around the World, there is a slight age difference between the two and their skill levels, despite playing in different positions, could arguably be compared to an extent.
Wenger though, when asked about the details of the deal had the following to say:
“Look, this would be an exchange of players, I think one will replace the other. Are we are still in the transfer market after that? Yes.”
He also confirmed that wages would not be an issue and that he has liked the player since playing them numerous times against Dortmund over the years.
“Of course, I like him as a player. If it’s a possibility it’s because I like the player. We played many times against him when he was at Dortmund. He appreciated the quality of our games and the way we play football so that’s why he loves the club.”
