Manchester United have been handed a major boost as Anthony Martial has decided to stay at Old Trafford this summer and fight for his place Under Jose Mourinho.
The French man has been unsettled since the arrival of Alexis Sanchez last January. He had to make do with a place as a squad member which saw him start just two of the club’s last ten Premier League games last season.
Having lost his place in the starting eleven, Martial’s agent went public to say that his client wanted to leave the club. The French man favoured a move to only a Premier League side, but Manchester United made it clear that they would not sell to a rival. The club also placed a £100 million price tag on the former AS Monaco man.
Martial started the Red Devil’s second game of the season against Brighton after Alexis Sanchez did not travel due to injury. Although he endured an underwhelming time on the pitch that day, he has decided to remain and fight for his place, according to Sun Sport.
This would come as a major boost to the Red Devils after Jose Mourinho failed to land his major attacking targets this summer.
