Manchester United have received a major boost in their quest to sign Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann after it emerged that two Barcelona players are fighting against his arrival.
Reports in Spain are claiming that Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi do not see any need for the Catalans to sign Griezmann for £80 million especially after securing the services of Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele.
This has opened the way for the French man to move to Old Trafford instead. He is also still not an automatic first choice for the Red Devils as they are also looking to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid.
Griezmann is keen on a move to Barcelona as he looks to continue growing his family in Spain. However, he is keeping his options open, and his friendship with Paul Pogba could influence his decision to move to England.
Jose Mourinho has made his intention to win the Premier League next season public and insisted that was the reason he shelled out so much money to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal. He is expecting the club to back him in the transfer market again as he looks to add quality players rather than quantity ahead of next season.
