Tottenham are reportedly looking to sign Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure next summer after Mauricio Pochettino watch him this week.
The young French midfielder has been one of Watford’s most reliable midfielders since joining them last season. He has survived at least three managerial appointments and still remains a regular at Vicarage Road.
Mauricio Pochettino was at Watford’s game against Chelsea on Monday and the Argentine was reportedly impressed by Doucoure’s display against the Blues and wants to add him to his Spurs team for next season.
Doucoure has played 25 times in the Premier League this season, and 27 times in all competition. He joined the Hornets from Rennes for £8 million via a loan spell at Granada and he looks settled in the London Club.
He is also attracting the interest of Liverpool, and Arsenal but the Lilywhites are hoping to land him early before his other suitors make their won interest firm.
He has made 46 games for Watford since he joined them and his current deal runs out in the summer of 2020. They hope to tie him down to a new deal worth £60,000 per week.
The Hornets do not want to sell, but they would accept any bid in the region of £20 million.
