Arsenal and Tottenham would be glad to learn that their top target would be allowed to leave after this season.
The Premier League duo were keen to sign Malcom in the January transfer window, but the French side who are facing a relegation scrap decided not to sell and the player has revealed his disappointment at not moving.
According to Malcom, he was keen on leaving Bordeaux in the winter transfer window but respected the fact that the club needed him to help them stay in the Ligue 1. He, however, admitted that he had spoken with the club’s president assuring him he would give his all to help them finish inside the top six in exchange for him making a dream move away next summer.
Arsenal cooled their interest in the final days of the transfer window after they secured the signature of Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Manchester United, while Tottenham decided to move for a more experienced Lucas Moura.
But the Premier League duo are expected to refresh their squad again after this season, and Malcom is high up in their transfer shopping lists. He has scored 7 goals in 21 games this season.
