Liverpool ace, Sadio Mane had agreed a deal with Real Madrid before the resignation of Zinedine Zidane this season.
Reports from Spain claims the Senegalese star had held secret talks with Los Blancos about joining them, and personal terms had already been agreed before the shocking resignation of Zidane as manager of the European champions.
The reports claimed that all that was left was for the two clubs to agree a fee, with Real Madrid prepared to pay as much as £100 million for the 20-goals this season attacker.
With Jurgen Klopp pursuing a deal for Ousmane Dembele, it seem as if the German wouldn’t have stood on the way of the former Southampton man, and £100 million would have been able to help him fund moves for his other targets.
The reports now claim the move could still pull through, but it depends largely on whether the Los Blancos new manager would want Mane in his team or not.
Mane had been considered a replacement for Gareth Bale who would have been sold or sent out on-loan like James Rodriguez was last season if Zidane was still at the helm.
