Real Madrid were shocked by Cristiano Ronaldo’s request to join Juventus this summer after winning 4 Champions League crowns and other numerous trophies, and the Spaniards moved fast to replace him.
After allowing Ronaldo leave for £100 million, Los Blancos turned their attention towards finding a replacement and Sun Sport claims that they made an attempt to sign a replacement from the Premier League but were unsuccessful.
The report claims that Los Blancos approached the agents of Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane but they were unable to convince both stars to become their next Galacticos.
Salah rejected their approach and signed a new contract with Liverpool which made him the club’s highest ever earner. He has since begun paying the faith the Kops have placed on him by scoring one and assisting two goals in as many Premier League games so far.
Kane also signed a new Spurs deal to keep him at the club for the foreseeable future and that leaves Eden Hazard as the only option that is available to Los Blancos.
Hazard has openly flirted with the idea of moving to Madrid, even calling them his dream club. He has refused to sign a new Chelsea contract and it is believed that he wants to run the current deal to its final year and make a cut-price move to the Bernabeu.
