Real Madrid have turned to Jurgen Klopp as their new managerial target after the shocking resignation of Zinedine Zidane yesterday.
Los Merengues were stunned by the French man’s resignation after a trophy-laden spell in charge at the Bernabeu just days after he won the Champions League for a record third consecutive time.
Madrid had tried to persuade Zidane to remain for a few more years, but he refused and they have now turned their attention to replacing him this summer.
Underfire Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte and Arsene Wenger have been linked with the job, but Florentino Perez reportedly rates Jurgen Klopp higher than the two of them.
Klopp has just led Liverpool to the Champions League final, his third final with the Reds in as many years, and he is set to lead their charge for the Premier League title next season. However, Perez is keen for him to take over and plans to discuss with the Reds in the coming days.
Liverpool would not want to allow their German manager leave after he seem to have brought the club closer to their glorious time more than any other manager in their recent history.
