Bayern munich on-loan star James Rodriguez is keen on playing for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool according to reports in the Spanish media.
The reports are claiming Rodriguez believes he can be the perfect replacement for Barcelona new boy Philippe Coutinho and could join before tonight’s transfer deadline if Liverpool are interested.
Jurgen Klopp has insisted that Philippe Coutinho would not be replaced in this transfer window, but with the Reds still in the Champions League and looking to end inside the top four, many of their fans feel they need reinforcements if they want to keep up with their current success.
Rodriguez is currently on a two years loan deal at Bayern Munich, but the Germans seem to be preparing for this season to be his last season at the Allianz Arena after they signed Leon Goretzka from Schalke 04.
Bayern Munich, however, currently hold all the cards in Rodriguez’s future as they have the option of making the deal permanent at any time at all. If the Germans exercise their right to sign him permanently, he would likely be overpriced for Liverpool.
The Reds recovered from a two games losing streak to beat Huddersfield 0-3 at the John Smith Stadium last night, their next game would be at home to Tottenham at the weekend.
