Real Madrid have renewed their interest in Thibaut Courtois and David de Gea. Los Blancos have been in the market for a new goal keeper since last summer and remain interested in Courtois and de Gea.
However, with both Chelsea and Manchester United insistent on not selling, they had turned their attention to Athletic Bilbao’s Kepa Arrizabalaga. They believed that Kepa would be willing to move across town and would be content to play second fiddle to Keylor Navas.
However, the 23 years old has ended every speculation about his future by signing a new deal at Bilbao.
Marca via Caught offside is now claiming that Real Madrid are back in for De Gea and Courtois. Courtois would have just one year left on his current Chelsea deal at the end of this season, and he has been reluctant to sign a new Chelsea deal.
The Belgian also has family in Madrid and Real Madrid want to take advantage of that and lure him to the Bernabeu.
De Gea came close to joining Real Madrid in 2015, and remains interested in a return back home at some point in his career.
However, the Spain number one would cost Real Madrid in the region of £50 million.
