More a potential Out than In for Liverpool on this final day of the transfer window with Markovic likely to be heading out the Anfield door. Perhaps it was a little too early for him as he did show glimpses of his skills before joining. Nonetheless he’ll probably leave today and we’re sure Liverpool fans will bid him the best of luck wherever he ends up.
The bog one could be Leicester City’s Mahrez. Man City can apparently not afford the transfer fee and although he’s almost a replacement for Salah and Mane, well, at least to give those two competition for the moment, it’s tough to think he could operate in the space left by Coutinho. Who know’s? Maybe Klopp has a plan for him but it’s going to be a big gamble and there are other places Liverpool should obviously strengthen.
Another big name doing the rounds is Griezmann of Atletico Madrid. Yes it’s highly unlikely but could the La Liga side turn down such an offer? Would the player be keen on joining Liverpool when he knows Barcelona and Manchester United might come calling in the summer. Liverpool’s current Premiership position should give the player an idea that it wouldn’t be a bad idea. As said the chances are extremely slim.
The goalkeeper situation is pretty crazy at Liverpool which I’m sure fans will agree but nothing further will be done this month. However sickening that might be you’re going to have to take the rough with the smooth where goalkeepers are concerned and wait this one out until the summer.
One further rumours doing the rounds for Liverpool is Christian Pulisic and what a signing that could be! Sadly though it’s too little too late for Klopp and this remains another player who will not be a Liverpool player from midnight tonight. With Dortmund having just their main goalscorer it’s highly unlikely they’ll sell any more weapons this month regardless of price.
