Liverpool have succeeded in getting rid of their Champions League final flop, Loris Karius after the German agreed to join Besiktas on a two years loan deal.
Karius committed two major blunders as Liverpool were beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid in last season’s Champions League final and the German has continually been criticized by fans and pundits alike.
He was backed by his manager after that night, but his form never improved and he committed yet more blunders in preseason to keep the spotlight firmly on himself.
However, Liverpool sensing that his season may be affected by the criticisms shelled out £65 million, a then world record fee for a goalkeeper, to sign Allison from AS Roma.
The Brazilian made his debut in the penultimate preseason game and has been a mainstay in the Red’s side ever since.
Karius would join the Turkish side who were previously interested in signing Simon Mignolet. They have been looking for a replacement for Fabri who joined Fulham this summer, and they believe Karius can revive his career with them.
The German would spend the next two years at the Turkish Super Lig club and they could turn it into a permanent move should he impress them enough.
