Chelsea are on the verge of completing the transfer of Olvier Giroud after the Gunners accepted their £18 million bid for the French man, however, he may not the only player joining Chelsea today.
The Blues have been looking to sign an attacker and a left back to their team in this transfer window and although they managed to sign Emerson Palmieri from AS Roma as their new left back, a new attacker has been had to come by until last night.
However, Giroud is unlikely to be the only signing they would make tonight as they look to keep hold of their position in the top four as well go far in the Champions League and FA Cup.
Express Sports is reporting that the Blues are also interested in sign Leon Baiiley from Bayer Leverkusen, Javier Pastore from PSG or Domenico Berardi from Sassuolo before tonight. These targets shows that Antonio Conte is not content on the amount of attacking midfielders he has despite the likes of Ross Barkley and Willian failing to start games.
Pastore has been offered around by PSG as they look to reduce their wage bill and earn some cash to make up for Neymar’s transfer last year. But the Argentinian has already rejected Liverpool this month, the Blues may find it hard to convince him into moving to the EPL.
