Chelsea are set to lose one of their most important players, N’Golo Kante this summer after PSG intensified their efforts to sign him.
According to reports in France, the former Leicester City midfielder’s agent met with PSG’s representatives in London last week and he was the subject of their discussion after Thomas Tuchel made him his number one transfer target.
Kante shot up from obscurity to become one of the most sought-after midfielders in the world after he led Leicester City to a surprised Premier League title in 2015/2016, he repeated the trick again with Chelsea in the next season.
He has since had to continually assure the Blues fans that he would not be leaving Stamford Bridge soon, but a move back home may be too tempting for him to turn down.
PSG are looking to win the Champions League. Despite fears that they might be sanctioned for breaking Financial Fair Play Rules, they are still looking to sign new players as well as complete the signing of Kylian Mbappe for £160 million.
Kante may be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge if Chelsea’s new manager decides that Ruben Loftus-Cheek is good enough to get a starting role after he starred for Crystal Palace last season.
