The big rumour ths morning is of course Real Madrid’s persistence for Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea. Although it’s no secret that Madrid have always been interested in the Belgian, the recent contract renewal of previous target Kepa Arrizabalaga means attentions have turned back the United Number 1.
Manchester United are still keen on Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil although they have just completed the swap deal for Alexis Sanchez. Arsene Wenger has already claimed that Ozil will not be leaving in January but the Germany international is still free from the summer to join who he wishes with his contract running down. This will mean a saving for United if they do get their man as they will not be required to pay a transfer fee, only a signing on fee for te player which will pale in significance.
The ibtimes also report that Jean Michael Seri is definitely a target for Jose Mourinho but that a move this January will be unlikely. The 26 year old Nice midfielder is considered to be versatile enough, and carry enough experience to slip straight into his United side and a fee closing in to £29m has been reported by a few online media outlets.
Although Sanchez only joined United on Sunday he has already suggested his new side made a few signings with Don Balon claiming the new winger would like to see France international centre-back Umtiti join. At 24 the Barcelona defender has age on his side and physical attributes to play in the Premier League but the Spanish side will be reluctant to let him go even if his release clause is set at £52m.
