Today’s rumours mostly relate to Alexis Sanchez’ swap deal from Arsenal to Manchester United which apparently needs to include Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Rumours have suggested that a price plus player deal has been agreed but that the United midfielder himself might not fancy the move.
Our sources have suggested that this deal may not need to involve Mkhitaryan as a deal breaker but if he were to decide to remain at Old Trafford, United would need to stump up a bit more cash. The player knows that his playing time will continue to be limited without improvement and those chances will obviously be slimmer should Sanchez arrive. Where betting is concerned we’d put anything we have on Sanchez being a United player this January but we would stay clear of backing Mkhitaryan being an Arsenal player at this stage.
Monaco’s Fabinho remains the favoured right back option for Mourinho with him also to play in midfield. The current rumours of Barcelona’s Aleix Vidal therefore don’t make sense at the moment.
Finally Fellaini won’t be going anywhere this January but the United manager will do what he can to get the former Everton midfielder to stick around after the summer. Be sure to visit TransferListed.com for a full list of players currently under teams’ radars.
