Manchester United’s bid to sign Gareth Bale next summer has received a major boost after the Welsh man turned down German champions Bayern Munich.
Reports in Spain are claiming that the Bavarians had an £86 million bid for Bale accepted by Real Madrid but the Welsh man told them he was not interested in moving to the Bundesliga. Bayern consider Bale the perfect replacement for Arjen Robben.
Bale has become a target for the Bernabeu boo boys this season as Real Madrid continue to struggle to defend their league title and he is expected to leave the Bernabeu after this season.
Although the Welsh man has scored 6 goals in 9 La Liga games this season, he has accepted that his time at the Bernabeu is coming to an end. He however, only fancies a return to the Premier League. Manchester United have been public with their interest in the former Tottenham man, but their signing of Alexis Sanchez seems to have satisfied their desire to sign a new attacker for at least this month.
Bale is also keen on playing under the leadership of Mauricio Pochettino which may see him make an emotional return to White Hart Lane. Chelsea are also interested in signing him, but the Blues want to be sure that Antonio Conte would be their manager next season before making a move.
