Manchester United have become the latest team to be interested in signing Croatia’s World Cup star, Ante Rebic.
The Red Devils are reportedly looking for a new winger this summer and Jose Mourinho had made Chelsea’s Willian his number one target, however, the Blues are reluctant to sell despite receiving a bid of up to £65 million from Barcelona for the winger.
Rebic is seen as a good alternative to Willian and the former Verona star shined for Croatia at the World Cup. He scored the first goal on their way to beating Argentina 3-0 in their second group game, and played in 6 matches.
He enjoyed a fruitful season in his maiden season at Eintracht Frankfurt the last time out and that could be his last season with the Germans.
Jose Mourinho has also targeted Rebic’s national teammate, Ivan Perisic, but Inter Milan wants £80 million for the 29 years old, and that fee has turned the Red Devils off.
Mourinho wants Rebic to play the right wing of his 4-3-3 formation with Sanchez on the left. He believes the winger can deliver the crosses that Romelu Lukaku can feed off from and score the goals they need to win the Premier League.
