Manchester United are set to sign Stoke City stopper, Lee Grant as their new third choice goalkeeper.
Grant, 35, is in the final days of his current deal with the Potters and he is set to leave them for free next month. Jose Mourinho believes he is well experienced to provide enough depth in his squad.
David de Gea is the undisputed first choice at Old Trafford while Sergio Romero is the second choice; however, the highly-rated Joel Pereira is set to be farmed out on-loan so he can get more experience.
Sam Johnstone who has just returned from a very successful loan spell at Aston Villa is expected to be sold this summer with several Championship sides willing to offer him a chance at their ground.
Grant has played over 500 career games, but most of his time has been spent in the Championship with the likes of Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday. Two seasons ago when Jack Butland was laid-off with injury for a long time, Stoke came calling with a chance to play in the Premier League.
He started over 25 games in the 2016/2017 season and impressed greatly for the Potters.
