Manchester United fans may have seen Zlatan Ibrahimovic in their club’s colours for the last time as his time with the Red Devils nears the end.
The Swedish star was surprisingly offered a one –year extension on his Manchester United contract last year despite suffering serious knee injury and his age already 36. He made his first start for them in their 2-1 loss to Bristol City in the Carabao Cup, but he was underwhelming in that game with many fans obviously seeing that he was in a decline.
He suffered a reocurrence of the knee injury he suffered at the end of last season a week after the Bristol game and has not been seen around the first team since that time.
ESPN is claiming that he may actually not play for United again as MLS side LA Galaxy have gotten very close to sealing a move for him ahead of the new MLS season. The Galaxy’s who have had the luxury of signing former Europeans stars like David Beckham, Steven Gerard and Robbie Keane want Ibrahimovic to become their next superstar.
Ibrahimovic would not take up a Designated Player spot on the Galaxy’s team as they hope to sign him with their Targeted Allocation Money.
