Manchester United star, Juan Mata is set to make an emotional return to Valencia next summer as his current deal runs into its final year.
The 30 years old has just under 12 months on his current deal, but the Red Devils have not shown the eagerness to offer him a new deal. This situation has prompted Valencia to explore the possibility of a home coming for their former hero.
Mata has won the World Cup and European Cup, and he remains one of the most popular Spanish players in the Premier League, but he is not Jose Mourinho’s kind of player and the Portuguese boss would be happy to let him go.
Valencia want him, but can only afford to sign him on a free transfer next summer should he refuse to commit to a new Manchester United deal.
The Spaniard earns £130, 000 per week at Old Trafford, but the Spaniards would struggle to even pay half of that allowances when he joins them, sources have claimed that won’t be a problem as Mata is not motivated by money.
Mata was a Valencia player for 4 years and made over 120 appearances for them before moving to Chelsea first, then Old Trafford in the winter of 2014.
