After beating Manchester City to the signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, Manchester United are set to continue their dominance over their City rivals in the transfer market.
According to Metro Sports, the Red Devils have entered the race to sign AS Monaco wonderkid, Benoit Badiashile who has been tracked by Manchester City for over a year now. City’s scout have been compiling reports on the 16 years old for a long time and their club was set to follow up their scouting by luring the teenager to the EPL.
However, they now face serious competition from Manchester United for his signature. The Red Devils have been alerted about City’s attempt to bring the youngster to England and Jose Mourinho has asked his club to hijack the move.
Badiashile is yet to sign a professional contract with Monaco and would join any of the Premier League giants for a very low fee.
Pep Guardiola has admitted that they cannot compete with Manchester United in terms of offering the highest financial packages to their targets, but the Catalan wants to avoid the Alexis Sanchez situation at all cost as he looks sign Eden Hazard or Antoine Griezmann next summer.
