Manchester United’s desire to hijack their rivals moves for the top players does not seem to be slowing down as they are set to sign another player from under the noses of Chelsea.
The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for Bayern Munich’s Arturo Vidal this month and Antonio Conte has given the Blues board the green light to sign the Chilean. Speaking about rumours linking him with Vidal, Conte claimed Vidal remains someone he would choose to go to war with.
Bayern Munich have also paved the way for the signing of Vidal by adding Schalke’s Leon Goretzka to their ranks. Goreztka joins them in the summer and he looks like the replacement for the 30 years old Vidal.
However, reports online are claiming that Jose Mourinho has asked the Red Devil’s board to get him Vidal as a replacement for Michael Carrick who retires after this season.
Conte has the upper hand in any move for Vidal as he has spent time with Chilean when he managed Juventus. But Manchester United now have Sanchez who they could use to convince Vidal to join them. The Red Devils could also tempt Vidal with a financial offer that Chelsea would be unable to match.
