Newly promoted wolves want to make Manchester United’s Swedish defender, Victor Lindelof part of their team next season as they look to remain in the Premier League beyond their first season back at the top flight.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side already have some impressive players on their team sheet, but the ambitious Championship winners want to add players with Premier League experience to their squad and they see Lindelof as a good fit.
Lindelof has not fully convinced Jose Mourinho that he can thrive in a big club like Manchester United yet even though he has started 25 games this season.
The swede was culpable for one of the goals Huddersfield scored against Manchester United when they defeated the Red Devils last year and he seems to always bring panic to the team’s defence when he plays.
Wolves are looking for a season long loan deal even if it would cost them some money, but they have their work cut out in terms of convincing Jose Mourinho to sell.
The Portuguese boss wants to win the Premier League next season and knows that he would need a big squad to achieve that as they would be competing in the Champions League and two domestic cups too.
