Manchester City are set to beat all competitions to the signing of Napoli midfielder, Jorginho after his agent admitted that the player will move once the clubs agree to a transfer fee.
Jorginho has been attracting attention from some of the best teams in Europe this season after starring for Napoli and it is only a matter of time before he moves.
Despite interest from Liverpool, Manchester United and other top European sides, Jorginho seems to be desperate to join Pep Guardiola’s side. He however, is not looking to dishonor his current deal at Napoli which has two years left to run, but hopes that the clubs can agree a fee this summer.
According to his agent: “Jorginho is still under contract, but if Napoli find an agreement with City then he goes to Manchester.
“Finding an agreement with the English won’t be a problem, considering their importance.
“But I repeat it depends on Napoli as the player is tied to the Azzurri for two more years.”
The Brazil-born star has been the midfield linchpin of Napoli’s team that challenged Juventus for the Serie A title for much of this season. With Maurizio Sarri a target for Premier League teams, Napoli may want to keep hold of their star men ahead of the new season.
