Manchester City are still unhappy about losing Alexis Sanchez to their rivals, Manchester United and they could be about to avenge that loss.
The Cityzens were clear favourites to sign Sanchez having failed to land the Chilean for £60 million last summer, but Manchester United stole the attacker from under their nose by offering him higher wages and giving the Gunners a player in return.
Manchester City also failed to land Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City on the final day of the last transfer window, and are still desperately in need of a new attacker. Don Balon claims they have identified Juventus’ Paolo Dybala as an ideal addition to their team, but the problem is they face competition from Manchester United again.
The Red Devils have been tracking Dybala since last summer and they are reportedly preparing to offer Matteo Darmian plus cash to land the Argentine.
However, Manchester City are ready to pay Juve’s asking price of £83 million and they believe the Italians would prefer a straight cash deal. Manchester United’s signing of Sanchez would also affect the amount they can pay Dybala in wages as they would not want to upset their other star players further.
