Pep Guardiola has reportedly asked Manchester City’s club board to sign Eden Hazard at all cost at least after this season.
The Catalan has some of the world’s best attackers in his team at the moment, but he is not contented as he looks to dominate the English game for a long time to come.
The Cityzens are currently top of the Premier League, they have reached the Carabao Cup final, and they could win an unprecedented quadruple this season. These strides have been made possible by the likes of Raheem Sterling, Kevin de Bruyne, Sergio Aguero, and Gabriel Jesus. But Guardiola reckons they could even achieve more with the signing of Hazard.
However, they face a very stiff competition from Real Madrid who have reportedly already offered £150 million for hazard. The Belgian also seems to favour a move to the Spanish capital and has decided to ignore Chelsea’s offer of a new deal worth £300,000 per week.
A move for Hazard is very unlikely this month, but Guardiola wants to sound out the Belgian ahead of a possible summer move and the Catalan believes he can persuade hazard to join.
A move for Hazard would likely break the current transfer record held by Neymar as Chelsea have made it categorically clear that Hazard is not for sale.
