Liverpool and Danny Ings are set to go their separate ways as the 25 years old looks to get his career back on track.
Ings joined Liverpool 2015 and enjoyed a good start to life under Brendan Rodgers before getting injured in his first few training sections under Jurgen Klopp. The past three seasons have been injury hell for the former Burnley man who has played just 25 Premier League games for the Reds since he made the move to Anfield.
He is well-liked by Klopp, however, the German cannot guarantee him playing time as the like of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane continues to combine superbly upfront.
While he is preferred to Daniel Sturridge, Klopp seems to rate Dominic Solanke higher than him in the pecking order and the return of Divock Origi from his loan spell in Germany would mean more competition.
Ings still wants to add to his solitary cap for England and that is one of the major reason he is considering leaving Anfield. Newcastle and West Ham were interested in signing him last summer and the duo could still be interested, while his former team Burnley who have just qualified for the Europa League could also take him back.
