Croatia defender Domagoj Vida is a target for Liverpool after starring for his country at the ongoing World Cup in Russia.
The defender has been instrumental in helping the Croatians keeping the attack of their opponents at bay in this competition and he is set to join the Reds after impressing Jurgen Klopp.
Sun Sport reports that Klopp wants him to join his fellow country man, Dejan Lovren in his team’s defence as he sees him as a reliable defender. The Besiktas star is versatile and he is able to play in either right back or as a centre back.
The Reds are believed to have made a £13 million offer for the 29 years old as they hope to conclude their transfer business early. Liverpool are not the only English side interested in the former Dynamo Kiev man as Leicester City are also monitoring him, according to reports.
Liverpool are hoping to challenge for the Premier League title this season and Jurgen Klopp hopes he can add Vida to their defence to make it even more solid.
Vida joined Besiktas on a free transfer last summer after he had spent 6 seasons in Ukraine with Dynamo.
