Liverpool have wasted no time in beginning their summer overhaul after falling short of winning the Champions League in the final on Saturday.
The Reds have surprised everyone by completing the signing of AS Monaco midfielder Fabinho for £44 million and he would join up with their squad on July 1 alongside their first signing Keita which was agreed last year.
Former Real Madrid youngster, Fabinho was in high demand last summer after helping the French side to win the French topflight division; he however, could not leave as Monaco had sold many of their star men already.
Just a few days back, Jose Mourinho who had given him his Manchester United debut was said to have held talks with him over moving to Old Trafford this summer, but Liverpool have now stolen a march on them.
The Reds completed this signing after Emre Can made it clear he would not sign a new deal and he is now expected to move to Italy with Juventus, while Naby Keita would become another midfielder to join the Anfield revolution after next month.
Fabinho scored 8 times and featured in over 40 games for Monaco last season, and claimed that Roberto Firmino played a very important role in convincing him to join the Reds.
