Arsenal and Liverpool are currently battling for the signature of Stoke City’s number one, Jack Butland.
The 24 years old is one of the most outstanding English goalies at the moment and several teams have been alerted to his potentials.
Chelsea have been linked with him in the past, but the Blues have not backed up their interest with an official bid.
Liverpool and Arsenal are his most serious suitors at the moment and one of the duos are set to land him next summer, as Butland has made it clear he wants to play football at the very top.
Arsenal want him to replace Petr Cech who would be 36 years this season. Although the Czech Republic goalie has one year left on his current deal, he has not been the same goal keeper that won 4 titles at Chelsea, and Wenger feels it is time to get a fresh goalie.
Liverpool’s goal keepers, Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet have come under serious scrutiny from fans and analyst since last season, and Jurgen Klopp is looking for a more capable hand in his goal.
Stoke City do not have a problem selling next summer, but they would be looking for at least £40 million for their star man.
