Manchester United have been handed a major boost in their quest to sign Lazio star, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as the midfielder is also keen on playing under Jose Mourinho.
Arsenal are also keen on the Serbian international with Unai Emery prepared to make him his first Arsenal signing, but Miinkovic-Savic prefers a move to Old Trafford instead.
The midfielder’s stock has risen high this season after starring for Lazio with 14 goals and 9 assists in all competitions. He has been one of Lazio’s star players and the club values him at more than £100 million.
Jose Mourinho is desperate to sign midfielders ahead of season as he has already lost Michael Carrick to retirement and risk losing Marouane Fellaini who would become a free agent next month.
Paul Pogba is also linked with a sensational return to Juventus after falling out with the former Chelsea coach.
Mourinho wants to win the Premier League next season and the club is ready to back him in the transfer market so he can achieve that.
Fred is also an alternative for Mourinho who has admitted to his love for Brazilian players. He faces a serious competition from Manchester City for the signature of Fred though, and may settle for Milinkovic-Savic.
