Jack Wilshere is closing in on a free transfer to west ham after holding face to face talks with Manuel Pellegrini.
The England midfielder is currently a free agent after agreeing to leave Arsenal after 17 years at the Emirates and he has been offered contracts from all over Europe, but seems to favour remaining in the Premier League.
West Ham are his only Premier League suitors who are actively following up their interest in the injury-prone star and he looks to be considering their offer. The Hammers have reportedly offered Wilshere just a single year deal with the options of a few more years should he remain injury-free and play a stipulated number of games.
Daily Mail reports that the Hammers are closing in on getting their man, however, they face major competition from Turkey with the likes of Besiktas and Fenerbahce also interested.
The latter is said to have made Wilshere an offer that would eclipse his current wage at Arsenal and almost certainly not be matched by West Ham. But the advantage for West Ham remains that Wilshere is reluctant to take his family out of England.
