West Ham are close to signing Jack Wilshere on a free transfer for the next three seasons. The former Arsenal star left the Gunners this summer after their new manager, Unai Emery could not guarantee him minutes this season.
He has been on the radar of several other teams, however, the Hammers seem to have stolen a march on those teams as he prepares to accept a £15 million move to the Olympic Stadium.
The three years deal is worth £100,000 per week which is not up to the amount his last Arsenal deal was worth. He earned £110,000 per week at the Emirates and claims to have been ready to accept a pay cut to remain at the Emirate Stadium.
Manuel Pellegrini wants to build his midfield around the England playmaker as he begins his new era with West Ham and Wilshere is expected to bring much needed experience to the Hammers and help them challenge for a European place.
Turkish giants Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are also keen on signing Wislhere and could offer to pay him more than West Ham, however, Wilshere is motivated more by his family being comfortable than all the riches in the world.
