Chelsea have taken their search for a new left back to the French Ligue 1.
The Blues have been looking to sign a new left sided defender to help reduce the work load on Marcos Alonso, but they have not been very lucky. They are currently in talks with AS Roma about the signing of Emerson Palmieri, but the deal is on the brink of a collapse according to reports in the Italian media.
Reports this morning is claiming that Chelsea have turned their attention to PSG’s Layvin Kurzawa.
The French full back has been one of the most consistent members of the French league leaders since he joined them in the summer of 2015 for £23 million. He had previously been on the books of AS Monaco from 2010.
PSG are looking to balance their financial books and avoid sanctions from UEFA, Chelsea are hoping to take advantage of this and persuade them to sell Kurzawa this month.
Although PSG might consider a deal with the Blues, it would certainly cost the Blues a fortune. One attractive attribute of Kurzawa is his ability to make surging runs forward which helps him make assist as well as score goals when the other members of his team have been marked out.
