Chelsea starlet close to joining Brendan Rodgers at Celtic

Chelsea are set to allow another of their youngsters leave Stamford Bridge this month on a temporary basis.

The Blues have become famous for signing some of the best youngsters around the world and continually sending them out on loan before selling them for huge profits. The Likes of Tammy Abraham and Kourt Zouma have all left on loan this season, and Charly Musonda is set to follow suit.

The young Belgian spent the second half of last season on loan at Real Betis, but the Blues refused to allow him leave last summer after Antonio Conte told suitors he was part of his plan for the new season.

However, Musonda has failed to make up to 10 appearances this season and was even on the bench for the FA Cup win over Newcastle at the weekend.

According to IB Times, the Belgian could complete an 18 months loan switch to Celtic this afternoon. Brendan Rodgers remains one of his biggest admirers and wants to add him to his team ahead of their Europa league game against Zenith Saint Petersburg.

Per the reports, Musonda could make his Celtic debut on Tuesday against Hearts. Chelsea hope that he would gain the required first team experience that would aid his development in the Scottish league.
