Manchester United have been dealt a major transfer blow in their bid to sign another Chelsea player.
The Red Devils signed Nemanja Matic last summer from the Blues and they were looking to bring Willian along this summer, however, the Brazilian has declared his loyalty to the Blues.
With question marks hanging over his future after Barcelona’s failed bid for his signature, Willian was asked about his future and confirmed that he has no plans to quit Stamford Bridge this summer.
The 30 years old was Barcelona’s major transfer target, but Chelsea rejected at least three bids from the Spanish champions which totaled £55 million, the Spaniards had to settle for Bordeaux’s Malcom.
Willian is set to resume preseason after having an extended break following his World Cup exertions and there is only one thing on his, to be able to play his way into the plans of Sarri.
William told a Brazilian website: “[Leaving?] No, I’m back to England. I’m very happy at Chelsea.
“I’m very happy living in London.”
This would surely bring much needed relief to the Blues who are currently struggling to keep hold of Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard as they both look to join Real Madrid.
