Chelsea are set to follow up the appointment of Maurizio Sarri as their new manager with the signing of Danielle Rugani from Juventus.
Sarri is set to be announced as a replacement for his compatriot, Antonio Conte who helped the Blues with the Premier League and FA Cup in his two seasons at the helm.
Reports this morning claims that the Blues have reached an agreement with Napoli for the transfer of Sarri to Stamford Bridge and his appointment is imminent.
Sarri has been drawing up a list of targets he wants with him at Stamford Bridge this summer, and Rugani is believed to be high on that list.
The 23 years old Juventus defender has been linked with a move to the Premier League since last summer, but he decided to remain in Turin with hopes that the transfer of Leonardo Bonucci would make him become a first team regular. That wasn’t the case and he is believed to be considering his options.
Chelsea are not the only English team interested in signing Rugani as Arsenal are also keen on taking him to the Premier League. However, Chelsea believe having an Italian manager gives them an edge.
