Chelsea have become fed up with Edin Dzeko’s reluctance to join them this month and the Blues have given him an ultimatum to make up his mind.
The Blues have been discussing with the Bosnian and his representatives after reaching an agreement with AS Roma for his and Emerson Palmieri’s signature. While the Brazilian has agreed personal terms with them, Dzeko is said to be making outrageous demands before sealing the move.
With the transfer window closing on Wednesday, the Blues have told Dzeko that if he does not agree to sign for them by Monday they would call off the deal.
Reports yesterday claims that Chelsea had grown pessimistic about completing the move and Antonio Conte has asked them to pursue a deal for Olivier Giroud as an alternative.
Dzeko has been assured that he would not be a backup attacker to Morata and that the goal scoring responsibilities would be shared equally by the two of them, but he wants a deal until 2021 like he has with AS Roma. However, the Blues are reluctant to consider that as they only offer one year deals to players above 30 years of age.
