Chelsea have offered Eden Hazard a new five years contract worth £300k per week, but it would take some convincing for the Belgian star to commit his long term future to the FA Cup holders, according to Sun Sport.
Hazard has just two years left on his current Blues deal and it appears that the Belgian wants to run it down to the final year and secure a cut-price move to Real Madrid just like Thibaut Courtois did this summer.
However, the Blues don’t want to give up without exhausting all avenues to make him stay. The Belgian star is now willing to renew his current deal, but he has given them the only condition under which he would sign the five years deal.
According to Sun Sport, Hazard wants to win the Champions League and also compete in Europe’s top competition, so he has told the Blues that they have to win the Europa League or qualify for the Champions League before he can commit his long term future to them.
Antonio Conte failed to secure a return to Champions League football last season and the Blues would be hoping that Maurizio Sarri can return them to Europe’s biggest competition in his first season.
