Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has decided to move to Borussia Dortmund this month as he looks to win a place in Belgium’s squad for the World Cup later this year.
The attacker has failed to convince Antonio Conte that he can become a successful striker in the Premier League and the Italian has decided to replace him.
Batshuayi has interest from several Premier League sides including Newcastle and Tottenham as well as other European sides like Sevilla and Inter Milan but he has decided to move to Dortmund.
His decision was influenced by the fact that he does not want to move to a team that he would have to play second fiddle to the main attacker like Harry Kane at Tottenham, and he also wants to avoid being involved in a relegation scrap at Newcastle.
His move is now subject to Chelsea signing a replacement. The Blues are closing in on sign Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud, but the Gunners also want to complete the signing of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang first before allowing Giroud leave.
Chelsea are also looking to sign Fernando Llorente from tottenham, when they sign any of their targets, Batshuayi would be free to leave.
