The race to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey is heating up and the Jamaican could be on his way to the Premier League after this season.
He has been shinning for the German title chasers since he joined them 12 months ago, and his performances have not gone unnoticed. He has notched up 8 goals in 18 appearances this season.
The Jamaican has made no secret of his desire to play in the Premier League at some point in the future, but German media outlet, Kicker is claiming he could be coming to the EPL next summer and Chelsea are the team that he would join.
This would be a bitter blow to Arsenal and Manchester United who are both actively searching for wingers. Jose Mourinho has been receiving glowing reports of Bailey’s performances from his scouts and he is thought to be looking to bring Bailey in next season.
However, Chelsea are favourites as they have promised him he would replace Eden Hazard who seems to be on his way to Real Madrid. The Blues also have space for Bailey on the right side of their attack.
Leverkusen currently value him at £100 million as they regard him to be just as effective as Ousmane Dembele.
