Chelsea and Manchester United bid to add Robert Lewandoski to their team sheet for next season has been dealt a major blow as the German club have made it clear that they would not flog the Polish striker in the next transfer window.
Lewandoski has changed agents to the notorious Pini Zahavi who masterminded Neymar’s move to PSG last summer. The change is believed to be because the Polish attacker is looking at another move and wage increase at a big European side, but he is contracted to Bayern until 2021 and the Germans are not worried.
According to club president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, “Nobody needs to worry about Robert Lewandowski and his relationship with Bayern Munich. We have a very good one.”
“No one needs to think about it. He will play for Bayern Munich next season, too.”
This statement would come as a cruel blow to Jose Mourinho who wants the attacker to lead his team’s charge for the Premier League title next season.
Chelsea also want him to replace Alvaro Morata who is on the verge of a return to Juventus after an underwhelming season at Stamford Bridge.
