Our sources indicate that Bayern Munich are open to hold talks about a potential transfer for midfield hardman Arturo Vidal. It has been suggested that the Chile international is looking for a new challenge and that a move to the Premiership is his preferred option.
Bayern are happy to begin talks but will not allow the 30 year old to move during this January window. The German Champions are already lining up Leon Goretzka from Schalke and there is talk of a possible move for Emre Can for whom they will face stiff competition from Juventus.
At 30 years old Vidal may be nearing his peak but it is believed an experienced “hard man” midfielder who will chip in with goals would be the ideal compliment to Kante and to give more competition to Bakayoko who despite doing well at the start of the season, has arguably failed to impress at the highest level for the West London outfit.
Our sources at the bookmakers suggest it’s too early to start betting just yet but that a keen eye should be kept open for further information, especially as Vidal will not be attending the World Cup where a deal could be achieved “reasonably early” in the next window.
