Chelsea have been told that Leon Bailey is not for sale, by Bayer Leverkusen.
The Blues are in the market for a new winger as they prepare to sell Eden Hazard to Real Madrid for a world record fee.
The Jamaican winger has been in impressive form since he moved to Leverkusen last January. His performances in the Bundesliga have attracted many admirers and the Blues reportedly face new competition from AS Roma.
Roma were on the verge of signing Malcom from Bordeaux, but the Brazilian made a dramatic U-turn and joined Barcelona instead, they believe Bailey is a good alternative.
Chelsea have been scouting Bailey over the past few months, and they are reportedly planning to make a move for the 20 years old this summer. However, according to Talksport, Bayer Leverkusen are aware of the growing interest in the Caribbean star and they have issued a hands-off warning to anybody planning to make a move for him.
However, the Blues are not likely to give up so easily. If they are armed with cash from the sale of Hazard, they would likely tempt the Germans with an offer in the region of £45 million.
