Arsenal are currently the busiest in the transfer market as they continue to look for a midfielder to replace Francis Coquelin and an attacking option to replace Alexis Sanchez. They continue to plan for the summer too with a number of discussions being held.
Let’s move onto Sanchez first. Only a miracle will stop this one going through now which should mean Mkhitaryan of Manchester United comes the other way. However, Arsenal will not be stopping there as there was an apparent meeting between a representative of Aubameyang and representatives of Arsenal yesterday afternoon.
We don’t yet know whether it was productive however if that was the case then Arsenal will have arguably boosted their first 11 with Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan joining. Will they click quickly? Wenger has always been a shrewd operator and this could be a game change for their current season.
Where Coquelin is concerned they still have interest in Napoli’s Jorginho and he might be available this January. Talks are ongoing and the 26 year old is keen to test his abilities in the Premier League. As far as likelyhood goes this one is up there and could be expected late on in the window.
Bordeaux youngster remains of interest but Arsenal have higher priorities at the moment and this one to be checked again over the summer.
Arsenal do still hold interest in Julian Draxler of PSG and the player is aware of it. He’s not getting the max of minutes in France and a move appears likely, albeit not this January.
N’Zonzi still remains of interest to Arsenal but Sevilla are not keen to sell and the player himself is unsure whether a return to the Premier League will suit him.
