Arsenal have offered a contract to Besiktas captain Oguzhan Ozyakup.
The 25 years old Turkey international was a Gunner in his younger years after joining the north London side in 2008. He spent four years in the Gunners set up but failed to impress Arsene Wenger.
He was sold to the Turkish Super Lig champions in the year 2012 for just £500,000, and he has gone on to build a solid career for himself racking up over 200 appearances for the Champions League campaigners.
The Gunners have been following his progress for the past two seasons and reports claimed Arsenal wanted him back since the summer of 2016. But a deal could not be completed at that time.
However, with less than 6 months on his current deal, reports in Turkey is claiming Arsene Wenger has offered him a deal to join them next summer.
The Gunners are aware of his reluctance to renew his current contract at the Turkish side and they feel he may be looking for a move back to a top European league.
Ozyakup has won two Super Lig title with Besiktas and has also collected 30 caps for the Turkish national team.
