Toulouse youngster, Issa Diop is a wanted man after his excellent man-marking job on Neymar.
The France under-21 international was tasked with marking the Ligue 1 highest paid player in their match a few weeks back and did an excellent job before unfortunately deflecting the Brazilian’s effort into his own net.
His performance that day was as good as his performances in other games has been and many scouts came to watch him in that game against PSG.
At 21, he has been made club captain and he has gradually grown into the role. He is the grandson of the first ever Senegalese to play in the French Ligue 1 and great things are expected of him in the near future.
He moved to Toulouse in 2006 and has been rising through the ranks at the club since that time.
He qualifies to play for Senegal through his dad and Morocco through his mum, but he has opted to play for the French team, and he is willing to wait for his turn.
Arsenal are hoping their record of helping young French players develop their career would persuade Diop to choose them over their north London rivals, but they face competition from Real Madrid and Barcelona for his signature.
