Arsenal are ready to sell Aaron Ramsey this summer if the Welsh midfielder does not agree to terms on a new deal before next season as they look to avoid the Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez fiasco of last season.
The midfielder is entering the final year of his current Arsenal deal, yet the club and his representatives are far from each other in terms of what the player is worth weekly.
Arsenal feel Ramsey is trying to hold them to ransom like Sanchez and Ozil did last season, and they want to avoid that at all cost. They plan to give him another take-it-or-leave-it offer before the end of the transfer window, and if he doesn’t accept it they would start entertaining bids for his signature.
Ramsey is taking his time and wants to be one of the club’s top earners after seeing details of how much the likes of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette earn.
The former Cardiff man believes he is one of the club’s best players after netting the winners in the 2014 and 2017 FA Cup finals. Ramsey believes he can fit into any top European side should the Gunners agree to sell him.
